Easter Weekend Day 2

We started the morning with family breakfast at IHOP and then went to Grandma Sharon's to hang out until it was time to go to the park for the Easter Egg Hunt.

Sky and Grandma Sharon

Jax and Sage waiting for the bell to ring and the hunt to begin.

Poor Jax got my competitive ability. She was more worried about her cold feet and getting an egg than she was about picking up the candy.

Sky's loot.

Becks came out with the biggest loot. He just sat and picked up the candy and put it in the bag like it was nothing. He was so cute.

My sweetest loves!

Walking back to Grandma Sharon's.

The arts festival! The girls had a great time getting their faces painted. I have been to the arts festival every year I have been in St George. It's such a fun tradition. I love being able to share it with my family.

The kids were so excited to ride the carousel. They didn't really care to much about the art, though Sky loved the jewelry. Q and I loved looking at the fall pictures. The ones with the aspen turning, just gorgeous.

Sweet girls! We were all running low on energy, and we still had one more egg hunt to go to.  We headed over to the Shepard of the Hills church. Q's Aunt Dawn works there and she invited us to go to their hunt.

Little man found a few eggs but he was more excited to play on the playground.

Skyler came up with a basket full of eggs.

They had hidden 750 eggs. Jaxan came up with 2 eggs. 2 eggs out of 750. That poor girl. She is going to need to work on her competitive edge. There was a very sweet lady that came up and gave her about a dozen eggs.

We went home and the girls rode their bikes and Becks had a great nap. I got some cooking done for our brunch tomorrow morning. It was a fabulous Saturday with our kids!

Easter Weekend Day 1

We spent the morning cleaning and hanging out. Becks and Q went to his mom's house to get the studio finished up. Jaxi and I went and got our hair cut. I needed mine a little shorter and as you can see in the picture above I took hers up to her shoulder. We both love the new dos. Sky got to the house and we went for a make believe egg hunt. I thought it was at 4 when it was actually this morning.... whoops. We ended up going to Tai Pan. Once we got home we went on a family walk / bike ride. The girls had so much fun on their bikes and the weather was just beautiful. Becks was super tired so he went down after we got home. Q, me and the girls got out crackers and goodies and watched We Bought A Zoo. It's one of the greatest movies I have seen in a long time. It was full of laughter and tears. Amazing story line and I highly recommend it.
We are hitting the hay.... we have egg hunts early in the morning..... until tomorrow - peace love and music!

Magic Bus

Sky had a performance out at Tuacahn the other night. It was to encourage parents to talk to the school district scout keeping music programs in the schools.

Poker Run

Saturday we went out to the Harley shop in Coral Canyon at 9 am. We signed up for the Poker Run that was benefiting the Animal Sanctuary in Kanab. We left about 10 am and headed to Paul Mitchell for "pictures".

I took the opportunity to get pics of Al and Q.

Drink break. That 3 mile ride was rough.

Our next stop was Moto Zoo and Victory. We had 4 hands. Turns out they weren't worth anything. I guess I picked horrible cards.

At Moto Zoo.

These two crack me up.

Then we headed to Veyo. Our next stop was Gunlock Reservoir. We went the back way through Veyo instead of going through Santa Clara and Ivins.

Of course we stopped at Veyo Pies. They have AMAZING danishes. If you haven't been there on a Saturday morning, like I hadn't, you are missing out on SO much. They don't have a huge selection but the selection they do have is so good. They are better than Kneaders and Paradise. It is so worth the drive. We will be taking another up there for the delicious cherry danish very soon.

Some things I realized this weekend....
I realized that no matter how many parts of the country I live in, St George is probably the most beautiful I have ever seen. We have so many amazing wonders in our own back yard. Yeah I become a hermit when the weather gets much over 90 degrees, but the rest of the year is just beautiful. I am thankful that I can plant a garden in March. I am thankful for the warm sun and the beautiful ride we had while other parts of the country were getting snow.
I also realized that Harley riders can and will be stuck up to other Harley riders. Some of the nicest people are people you would never expect to meet. Age is only a number and friends come in all ages, shapes and sizes. The economy can and will effect everyone in some way and it doesn't discriminate.
Not all, but most hair school girls are dorky, dumb, and ditzy. (Before I thought they ALL were.)

I realized how much I love this man. I love to continually fall in love with him over and over and over again. I love how he ridiculously spoils me when I don't deserve it. I love how much he loves me. I love how he is NEVER afraid to be with me not matter how silly I look or act. He is the most amazing man and I am SO thankful he is in my life. He defiantly is the better half in this relationship. He is the glue that keeps us together. He is the reality to my wild winged dreams. I love that he loves having me on the back of his bike and that he will take me every where with him. I am so proud to call him mine!

The bikers.

Gas prices are just outrageous right now. Seriously who knows where it's going to be at the end of summer, but right now this is killing us.
