Christopher Axel Macomber has ARRIVED!!!

10 AM we checked into labor and delivery. We got all the paperwork and essentials done.

At 11:30 we headed down to the OR. As I had remembered, the spinal was the worst part. The lidocane sucked, the pressure of the spinal block sucked, and the medication sucked ----- until I was numb. Once I was numb and the drape was put up, I was fine. The spinal block gets me every time. So glad I am not doing that again.

I felt an intense amount of pressure and then ....

I heard a sweet baby squawking. The nurse brought him around so I could see him. He was purple and gooey.

Daddy went over to take pictures.

He got cleaned up and pinked up. APGAR scores of 8 and 9. Couldn't ask for better than that.

Then it was time to meet me. Amazing such a perfect little human was inside me.

Axel and dad went back to the recovery room to wait for me. Q couldn't get enough of him.

I would love to you what happened in the recovery room, but all I know is what I have seen in pictures. I don't remember anything.

I don't remember them handing me my son. I don't remember who all was in there. I do remember Sharon saying she needed to go to the gift shop.

Axel's first bath. He did so good. No crying or squawking

After Jax got out of school, my mom and Lyn brought the kids by to see their little brother.

Misty brought Skyler in to see her new little brother.

We had a ton of visitors. I wish I had remembered to take pictures of everyone with Axel. I was still pretty medicated. Some people I just got into deep conversation with and the camera slipped my mind. We are so thankful for everyone that came by and the gifts that were shared with us.

One day old and already two Harley's.... lucky kiddo.

Day two....

We got home on Friday afternoon. It was so nice to go home, but I sure missed having the nurses wait on me.  Saturday morning we took the kids to the Dixie State University Homecoming Parade. The St George Street Bikers were riding in it. When we got home, edible arrangements delivered this fantastic looking and tasting arrangement.

Saturday afternoon we took the kids to Lins for Tricks and Treats.

Sunday was about food and football. Axel liked the food idea, and slept through the football part of it.

TODAY!!!

C section scheduled for 10 AM this morning. I was hoping for earlier, but we will make due. I still have a few things I can finish up this morning.
Pregnancy recap.
I removed my IUD sometime in 2012 hoping to get pregnant right away. It wasn't happening. So Q and I thought it wasn't going to happen.
In March we moved into our house in Hurricane. Packing and hauling and everything took a toll but we got it done.
I found out I was expecting in April. It was lots of puking and moodiness. It was lots of soreness, weight gain, low fluid, high fluid, little baby, big baby, it was a whole lot of rib pain. Thinking it was my galbladder I had tests done.... it wasn't just stretching from the baby.
After 9 months of discomfort, moodiness, emotional outbreaks, and hatred for being pregnant.... the day has come. I have 2.5 hours to get everything done I am hoping to.
