Weekend Without The Kids

Q ended up working all day yesterday. He was going to work a half day and they were so busy they stayed there all day working. We decided to go to dinner and spend the evening together. I got to choose where we were eating. Claim Jumper just reopened in St George so I figured that we could give it a shot. It was a HUGE mistake. It was horrible. My stake may a well have been boot leather with salt, and Q's ribs were tender but flavorless. The only thing that was good was the salad. The whole experience was just not that great. We went back home and watched Safe House.

Since Q worked all day yesterday we decided to go fishing today. We love Enterprise and we have had good luck fishing there so we decided to go up there. I threw in a sweatshirt just to be prepared. We got to Veyo to get our traditional pastry at Veyo Pies, fresh out of the oven I might add, and the wind was horrible. Q was going to be FREEZING on the lake. So we stopped by Randy and Trish's to see if they had a jacket he could borrow. They did. It didn't really matter, by the time we got up to the lake the wind was blowing so hard that he decided not to put the boat in. The white caps were pretty bad. So we decided to call it a trip and take off back to town.

We decided to go try Quail Lake. It was very windy out there but we decided to give it a shot. The ranger thought we were crazy, but we thought why not. When we got to the cove and were fishing the wind died down. We didn't catch anything. So we went to a little hidden cove. I thought it would be fun to jump in. So Q jumped in first and then I went in. It was FREEZING. We rode around in the boat a little bit and then went home and took a nap. We got two tired kids back about 6:30.

Jaxan starts swimming lessons on Monday and the girls start dance on Tuesday. Exciting week to come!
