Rough Day

Yesterday was a rough day for our family. We dropped the kids off with Mike because we were going to go rock climbing with Larry. Q's back was really bothering him from working 14 hours the day before. So, we decided to go to some yard sales instead. We started by our house and ended up at the Mavrick by Dixie Downs. While we were checking out at Mavrick (had to have a diet coke) a lady came up to me and asked if we were driving a green Isuzu. I said yeah we were. She said that a lady in a white van had just hit our car, twice. Oh great. It wasn't horrible but it cracked the paint and scraped the bumper. I don't really need more rust or broken things on Ty. He isn't perfect, but he is a good car and I am trying to keep him in good shape. She had written down the license plate number so we called and reported it. When the cop came to do the report the lady had written the plate number down wrong. This did not at all surprise me. So there we sat with a scrapped up Ty and nothing we can do about it.

Then we get home from our days activities to get ready for our ride to Springdale (see next post) to find this:

Apparently, while we were out the dogs had got into a fight. We aren't sure what the problem was this time. There was no food around. We found Sabaka's collar over by our trailer. It's unsure what exactly happened but coming home to this, we have to get rid of Alpine. I wanted to take her to the pound immediately or call animal control. That wasn't okay with Q. He wanted to find her a good home. He thinks, and I agree, that she is a good dog. She is just very territorial. She can't be with other animals.
We went down to the garage that night so Q could work on the truck we bought - more later. We took Sabaka with us. I think he needed some extra TLC to know we didn't abandon him.
Q was able to give Ty a tune up and fix the tires, brake lights, and a/c on The Duke (our new truck).
